Already under the first NIS Directive and its national implementation (NISG), certain companies were required to adopt cybersecurity measures. The successor, the NIS2 Directive, significantly expands the scope to include many previously uncovered companies and mandates tailored security measures. It also introduces specific requirements for incident notification systems and new liability provisions.
